Who we are

CX Pay 2 Fund is a crowdfunding platform operated by CX Pay, registered in Curaçao at Chuchubiweg 17, Solideo Building. References to "we", "our", or "us" in this policy mean CX Pay. If you have any questions about this policy, please email hello@cxpay.global.

What information we collect

When you create an account, start a campaign, or make a donation, we collect personal information that is necessary to deliver our service. This includes your name, email address, phone number, address, and identification documents that we require under Know Your Customer rules. For donors, we collect billing details and payment information needed to process your card or bank transfer.

We also collect technical information automatically when you visit our site, such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, and referring website. This helps us keep the platform secure and improve how it works.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate the platform, verify your identity, process donations, transfer funds to campaign owners, send you transaction confirmations and updates, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, prevent fraud and abuse, and respond to your questions when you contact us. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

How we share your information

We share information only with parties that help us deliver the service. These include our payment processors, including CX Pay, CyberSource, and Sentoo, our identity verification provider Shufti Pro, our hosting provider, our acquiring bank, and any service provider that needs the data to perform their role. We may also share information when we are required to do so by law, by a court order, or by a regulatory authority.

If you make a public donation, your name and donation message will appear on the campaign page. You can choose to donate anonymously by checking the anonymous box on the donation form.

Identity verification through Shufti Pro

Before any campaign is published on CX Pay 2 Fund, we are required by financial regulation to verify the identity of the person or organization running the campaign. We use Shufti Pro, an identity verification provider headquartered in the United Kingdom, to carry out these Know Your Customer and Know Your Business checks on our behalf. Shufti Pro acts as our data processor and only uses your information for the verification work we ask them to perform.

The personal data we share with Shufti Pro depends on the type of verification. For individual campaign creators this includes the image of your government issued identification document, a selfie or short video for liveness checks, your full name, date of birth, document number, and the country that issued the document. For organizations and businesses we share the legal name of the entity, the jurisdiction of registration, the registration number where available, and information about ultimate beneficial owners and authorized signatories. Shufti Pro also runs sanctions, politically exposed persons, and adverse media screenings on the verified individual or entity.

The legal basis for this processing is compliance with our regulatory obligations under Curaçao financial law, prevention of fraud and money laundering, and protection of our donors and platform. Verification data is retained by Shufti Pro for the period required by their own data retention policy and applicable regulation, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Shufti Pro publishes its own privacy notice at shuftipro.com/privacy-policy, which describes their security controls, sub processors, and your rights as a data subject in their hands.

How we protect your information

Our site runs over HTTPS with a valid security certificate, denoted by the padlock in your browser. Card data is processed through PCI compliant payment gateways and is never stored on our servers. Identification documents that you submit during KYC review are stored in restricted access systems and are only used for verification and compliance purposes.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for as long as we are required to under applicable financial regulations. After that period ends, we either delete the information or anonymize it so it can no longer be linked to you personally.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to correct information that is inaccurate, to ask us to delete information that we no longer need, and to object to certain uses of your information. To exercise these rights, email hello@cxpay.global with your request. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and may ask you to verify your identity before we act on the request.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and measure how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some parts of the site, especially the checkout flow, will not work correctly without them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, if appropriate, notify you by email. The current version always lives at cxpay2fund.me/privacy-policy.
